Following on the success story of last year’s event, our colleague Sarah Bentley and friends recently held their 2nd Annual Bentley Bash, some of our colleagues attended what again proved to be a huge success…please see full details below:
On Saturday June 25th, Chasetown FC, kindly donated the use of their marquee and facilities for the second annual Bentley Bash.
There was a disco, tombola, sweet stall, glitter tattoos, bouncy castle and a fantastic raffle with prizes that had kindly been donated by local businesses.
This year we donated to two charities, St Giles Hospice and The British Heart Foundation.
Attending exhibitions is considered to be one of the best ways to get your business ‘out there’ – but it’s a huge commitment in terms of time, manpower and, of course, cost.
This year, we bit the bullet by attending the ‘Made In The Midlands’ exhibition and are we glad we did! Made in the Midlands is a full-day event which brings together the very best of Midlands manufacturing and engineering services from across a wide variety of sectors, including Aerospace, Automotive; Rail, Marine; Medical and Oil & Gas. There’s a new solution to the challenge of workplace hydration…
They say ‘beauty is in the eye of the beholder.’ What might appear flawless to one person, might seem pointless to another…
It’s a bit like that with water in the workplace. Some people insist on the traditional office water cooler – the ones with the upturned bottles – whilst others are equally committed to POU water coolers (these are the kind that are plumbed into the mains water supply).
At Coinadrink, we have a specialist water division Read more
Many’s the success story that has an inauspicious beginning and the story of Sue Loftus’ wonderful career at Coinadrink is one of them. She started with us in April 1994; but it might have been earlier: ‘The first time I applied for a job, I was turned down’, she says. ‘It was second time lucky for me.’
It was lucky for Coinadrink, too…
In the latest article in a series that turns the spotlight on our staff, meet Coinadrink’s Customer Care Manager: Sue Loftus
BY ROGER WILLIAMS
People sometimes raise their eyebrows when I tell them Coinadrink is a member of three trade associations, but I’ve always appreciated the benefits of ‘getting involved’.
Historically, a trade association is an organisation founded and funded by businesses that operate in a specific industry, or in the same geographical area. Members agree to put self-interest to one side, in order to act collectively for the greater good of their industry, their region or even their country Read more
Introducing Coinadrink’s Coffee Tower.
In 2015, Britons spent £7.9bn on coffee. That was an increase of 15% over 2014 and it’s a sign that café culture is tightening its grip on the UK. So, what might this mean for you?
We think it could mean an extra source of income, and here’s why…
Let’s deal with the High-Street players first. There are now more than 20,000 coffee shops in this country; growth that has at its heart a 12% increase in the number of branded coffee chains, according to the Project Cafe 2016 UK report from Allegra World Coffee Portal. They’re turning over – wait for it – £3.3 BILLION per annum!
Here’s news of our latest promise in aid of our favourite local charity, Promise Dreams.
It’s a sponsored walk called Walk for Promise Dreams and it’s scheduled for Sunday, October 16th – so it you want to join us, there’s plenty of time to get fit!
You’ll need to be on your mettle though… Our starting point is Himley Hall and from there, we walk to Wombourne. From the Penn Road, we’ll see lots of Wolverhampton landmarks, and rest assured: there are a few pubs along the way and there’s even a MacDonalds if you need to eat something!
When we get to Wolverhampton, we walk towards Chapel Ash before we go past the Wolverhampton University Arts building, with its famous ‘fairy lights’. Next comes Stafford Road, with a wonderful view of Molineux. From there, it’s a gentle downhill stroll to Wolverhampton Racecourse. Read more

PART THREE: The ‘Sugar Question’ Was Solving Itself – So Who Needs A Sugar Tax?
There’s one element of modern life that I’ll never be comfortable with, and that’s ‘blame culture’. Whatever problems we face, as individuals, communities or as a nation, it seems that we have to blame those problems on ‘someone’ or ‘something’.
Goodness knows that the vending industry has been singled out for blame during the on-going ‘obesity crisis.’ There are those out there, for instance, who espouse the idea that we could end obesity simply by removing snacks machines from hospital waiting areas.
I was looking through some old snaps the other day and I found a group picture of me, my parents and a lot of other people and I was immediately struck by how pencil-thin we all were. Read more
