Coinadrink works with foodbank this Christmas to support the local community.
Walsall-based vending and refreshment operator Coinadrink Limited will again donate to the Bloxwich and Blakenall Foodbank this Christmas, in support of our local community.
We’re inviting our team to give what they can to those who may be struggling this Christmas, with welcomed items including tea and coffee, long life drinks, and nappies.
The details behind the donations.
We have placed a few baskets behind our reception and asked staff to add what they can before the 12th December 2023, after which we’ll be making the donation to the Bloxwich and Blakenall Foodbank.
This isn’t the first time that we have committed our support to the charity. Only 12 months ago did we do the same thing, working with two of our suppliers to make a positive impact on those struggling within our community. This was in addition to taking part in Christmas Jumper Day in support of Save the Children UK.
The donations to the foodbank were very well received and we were always keen to replicate our efforts in 2023.
Supporting our local community.
Coinadrink has been providing a quality vending and refreshment service from our base in Walsall since 1962.
We are proud of our community and when we heard about the struggles relating to food poverty, we were desperate to help. It was revealed last year that the cost-of-living crisis is having a massive impact on families around here, with higher expenditure forcing people to reach out for help.
Today, 1 in 5 people live below the poverty line and last years’ figures recorded over 2 million British people relying on the services of a food bank. Operated by the Trussell Trust, the Bloxwich and Blakenall Foodbank is one of over 1400 foodbanks across the UK, there to lend a hand when needed.
The work they do, largely made up of volunteers, is remarkable. Choosing to show our support is one way to give something back to the local community we serve.
Show your support to the Bloxwich and Blakenall Foodbank!
Our initiative is internal, open to all staff members here at Coinadrink. But that doesn’t mean you can’t show your own support.
The Bloxwich and Blakenall Foodbank is ready and waiting to receive any kind donations that you are able to make. They are especially grateful for items such as tea, coffee, tinned food, and even nappies.
