Big news! Coinadrink Limited has developed our very own smart fridge, a revolutionary facility that we see as the future of fresh food and cold drinks vending.

As consumer demand continues to adapt in line with a broader variety of products from the workplace, the smart fridge offers more choice and a strong emphasis on healthier options.

So, what exactly is a smart fridge?

Put simply, it takes a conventional fridge and builds on it with smart technology to benefit the end user.

Just like you’d expect then, it utilises the same capacitive shelving for products as opposed to the spirals in a traditional fresh food or cold drinks vending machine.

This opens up the opportunity for a more diverse product menu, whether it be subs, sandwiches, salads or ready meals.  This just wouldn’t be possible from the limited space in a traditional vending machine.

After browsing through the available products through the embedded user interface, which automatically updates to only display what is inside the fridge, you make your cashless payment, and the door unlocks.

It’s smart technology that’s you’ll quickly grow accustomed to.

So, whilst our Express Refreshments customers may see striking similarities to the fridges they use for fresh food and cold drinks in their Micro Markets, the key difference here is selection and payment doesn’t require a separate terminal.

We were still keen to capture the personalisation element that we know our Micro Market customers love. Real time promotions and discounts are displayed on the housing, which itself can be customised with your preferred theme and even branding.

Personalisation is perhaps the biggest benefit of developing our own solution as opposed to using an off-the-shelf substitute.

Each smart fridge is designed to be bespoke to the customer, to the point where it’s built from scratch on your premises. Unlike your typical flat pack furniture from Ikea, though, this is an exciting build…

Depending on your requirements you could have a solitary fridge for just fresh food, or as many as four different units with a mix of cold drinks to cater to higher usage.
