Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, it has been a long time since we provided an update on the Just Small Change charity we are so proud to support. So we were delighted when our good friends Peter and Jane Donaghue, registered trustees of the organisation, got in touch with us with a positive update.

For those of you who may have forgotten, Coinadrink is proud to support Just Small Change as one of our chosen charities. We last issued an update in November 2018, detailing the introduction of “table banking” that allowed group members to easily borrow money to help improve their livelihoods. Now, we are happy to hear that the organisation is going from strength to strength, and there’s now a new update to share…
You may have remembered that our branch division, Express Refreshments, got on board with Black Friday last month. In a unique, charitable twist, we committed to ‘teaming up’ with our Micro Market customers to donate 10p per sale to their chosen charities. It was a very successful promotion, and we’re now delighted to announce exactly how much we managed to raise…
Christmas Jumper Day 2018 is set for Friday 14thDecember. Thousands of people up and down the country will don their Christmas jumpers for a fantastic cause – to create a better, brighter future for vulnerable children around the world. We signed up for the annual event a few weeks back and are delighted to have now received our welcome pack from Save The Children.
Just Small Change is a microfinance charity that Coinadrink has been supporting for a while. Peter and Jane Donaghue are friends of ours and we are delighted to help make a difference in some of the poorest parts of the world. We were delighted to receive an update from Peter and Jane last week regarding the organisations’ progress, including the introduction of “table banking” alongside their current scheme.
Black Friday. You can’t fail to have noticed the shopping phenomenon that consumes the Nation every year. And now we’ve decided to get on board with Black Friday ourselves in the most charitable way possible. We have committed to donate 10p from each sale made in our Micro Markets, to a charity that is set to be nominated by each customer.
MacMillan’s Coffee Morning is back on Friday 28thSeptember and Coinadrink is delighted to be taking part once again. Now, working for a vending company, we know better than most about the power of a great cup of coffee, but not even we could have forecast just how successful this annual coffee morning would be. From the first ever event in 1990, MacMillan has raised over £200 million courtesy of all you wonderful people across the globe. That’s truly excellent work!
A background to the coffee morning…
Regarded as the ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’, MacMillan brings friends, family and colleagues together for a great cause.
As you know, Just Small Change is a microfinance charity that supports some of the poorest parts of the world. Peter and Jane Donaghue founded the organisation in 2011 and we are proud to call the couple as firm friends of ours. We are equally proud to support the charity, and we have donated to the organisation through lots of varied ways including a percentage of the money raised from the sales of our bottled water. We are always pleased to hear of success stories from the charity, and we’re delighted to now present another positive update from Kisumu in Kenya.
