Best customer service? That’s us!

Coinadrink enjoyed a successful trip down to London for the Vendies Awards for the third year running, as we scooped two awards and were highly commended in another category!

It was with immense pride that we brought the “Best Customer Service” gong back to the West Midlands, following a fantastic occasion that also saw Kieran Jones scoop the “Best Service Engineer” award for the second time in three years, and Samantha MacKirdy being highly commended in the “Woman of the Year” category.

As a family-run vending operator, our customer service values have played a key role in a history that dates back 62 years.

To see our efforts recognised at one of the biggest ceremonies in the industry is testament to the hard work and commitment our entire team displays every single day.

Meanwhile, Kieran Jones was the very deserved winner of the “Best Service Engineer” category, following up on the same success back in 2022. This actually represents a hattrick of winning this award for the business, with Mike Powell also scooping it last year!

In our entry, we detailed how Kieran always demonstrated exceptional levels of customer service. Not only with his knowledge in being able to provide an excellent first-time fix rate when attending service calls, but how he will regularly go over and above for the customer with a brilliant attitude.

Samantha MacKirdy was also highly commended as “Woman of the Year”, a great achievement. She carries out her role as operator with the utmost professionalism, visiting 57 sites as part of a 650-mile trip every week. Her high standards and customer service standards are truly exemplary.

Success at the Vendies awards is becoming a pattern for Coinadrink, even if we do say so ourselves! Sam and Kieran represented the business down in the capital alongside our Credit Controller Dani Pereira and our Managing Director Tom Williams.

“To have Kieran, part of our Field Service Engineer team, take home Best Service Engineer is a huge moment of pride.

Kieran has been with us for over 10 years now starting out as an apprentice and has developed into a really great engineer that we know gets the job done well on any call he attends.

His first fix rate is excellent and his relationship with stakeholders, both internally and externally really sets him apart.”

He then continued: “Sam is a huge personality and valuable member of our operations team.

Sam looks after most of our clients in and around the Stoke area, delivering fantastic service day in day out with her machines being immaculate and always a shining example of our commitment to hygiene.

She has a great relationship with all of her customers and really goes above and beyond for Coinadrink.”

Tom actually presented an award himself during the presentations, with Nebrak Ltd, who we work with ourselves for our Micro Market and vending fitouts, worthy winners of the “Best New Product” gong for their Refreshment Destination.

Amidst all the awards commendations (and some fantastic food, drink and entertainment!) the main celebration was to highlight all that is great about our wonderful vending industry. The Grand Connaught Rooms again played host to an event that was worthy of everyone present: individuals, businesses and hero’s all with a shared passion to keeping driving our sector further forward.

And it was lovely to see so many familiar faces.
