Christmas Jumper Day 2018 is set for Friday 14thDecember. Thousands of people up and down the country will don their Christmas jumpers for a fantastic cause – to create a better, brighter future for vulnerable children around the world. We signed up for the annual event a few weeks back and are delighted to have now received our welcome pack from Save The Children.
Here at Coinadrink we pride ourselves on our standard of customer service, but we never stand still and we’re always looking to improve. QR codes are now being added to the Merchant Media snack machines as they are delivered to us, which will create a new, simple way to report service calls into us. This is also something that we’re also looking to add to the rest of our range in the near future and we’re already in the process of rolling them out.
Just Small Change is a microfinance charity that Coinadrink has been supporting for a while. Peter and Jane Donaghue are friends of ours and we are delighted to help make a difference in some of the poorest parts of the world. We were delighted to receive an update from Peter and Jane last week regarding the organisations’ progress, including the introduction of “table banking” alongside their current scheme.
Black Friday. You can’t fail to have noticed the shopping phenomenon that consumes the Nation every year. And now we’ve decided to get on board with Black Friday ourselves in the most charitable way possible. We have committed to donate 10p from each sale made in our Micro Markets, to a charity that is set to be nominated by each customer.

According to a workplace survey carried out by Fellows, 81% of UK office workers spend between four and nine hours a day just sitting at their desk, which equates to an incredible 67 sedentary days per person per year…
Look out, we’ve just been highly commended by The Vendies for our two recent competition entries: ‘Best Regional Operator’ and ‘Best Operator Website’! The Vendies awards are recognition of the hard work and dedication of all the vending companies in the industry, so it’s pleasing to have been given strong recognition. How about that for a bit of ‘Friday Feeling’?
We always love hearing about updates to our chosen charities that we support. Acorns Children’s Hospice provide care and support to life limited and life threatened children and their families, within three hospices situated around the West Midlands. In the past year their support has extended to over 870 children and more than 1,140 families, but they need the continued support of the public in order to carry on. In fact, the charity requires nearly £10m every year just to operate! That’s a lot of money…
