Welcome to the Coinadrink team…Matthew Horden!

We’re barely halfway through 2022 but Coinadrink Limited the vending machine company has already welcomed a host of new starters to our team across a variety of departments!

The first to join our team was Matthew Horden on the 28^th January. We thought it’d be a nice idea to introduce you to Matthew by speaking to him about how he has found the new role so far.

Matthew joined us as a Route Merchandiser, covering Walsall, Wolverhampton, Telford and Shrewsbury. This means Matthew is part of the team who replenish our customers’ vending machines in those areas.

But let’s take you back to before Matthew started so you can understand how the opportunity came around for him.

Matthew worked for a company in West Bromwich for over 23 years, working and repairing a variety of machinery and equipment. Of course, this meant getting his hands dirty, which is something Matthew has always enjoyed doing.

Upon fancying a change, Matthew temporarily worked for a construction company, sticking close to his passion. He was then recommended to Coinadrink by an existing employee, which is how a lot of our staff join.

We like to think it shows just how great we are to work for!

So how has Matthew found this career change, which is quite a bit different to his previous roles?

“Demanding” was one of the words he used, though with a smile on his face that suggests it’s a challenge he has relished. He has found it easy to settle thanks to a friendly team.

Matthew expressed just how much he enjoys his route around the Midlands and Shropshire. Coinadrink’s replenishment software means we know exactly what products need carrying by the likes of Matthew and where they need to be, which our new employee aptly describes as “extremely well organised”.

Whilst settling into his new role, Matthew is a pro-active individual, something that helps him work alongside the rest of the team. Such a rich history in construction and the like means he has had one eye on vending machine maintenance, and says it is an area he may look towards in the future.

For now, though, Matthew is more than happy as one of our trusted Route Merchandisers out on the road every day ensuring our customers’ vending machines are topped up with their favourite products.

Away from the working world and his responsibilities, Matthew is a big Wolverhampton Wanderers fan and is a proud season ticket holder at Molineux. He also likes fishing and is a big family man.

So, that’s Matthew Horden, one of our new staff members at Coinadrink Limited the vending machine company! We have a few more new starters that we will introduce to you over time.
