Raising money for charity on party night…
We remain a charitable company, and we were always determined to tie our efforts into party night. A dedicated prize draw and auction was carried out, and a massive £5500 was raised for both Acorns Children’s Hospice and Just Small Change combined. This is a great achievement by everyone involved, so it’s a very well done!
Established in 1988, Acorns Children’s Hospice provides care and support for life-limited and life-threatened children and their families. What these children have to endure is heartbreaking, and many of them are not expected to reach adult life.
“Acorns Children’s Hospice is delighted to be gaining the support of Coinadrink. Each year we need to raise nearly £10 million in public donations to support the vital care we provide for the life limited children and families across the region. Without the generous contributions of businesses like Coinadrink and the engagement this provides with your staff and customers we simply would not exist. Thank you.”
Tanya Fellows, Acorns
In the past year, Acorns has supported 876 children and 1097 families through medical professionals and dedicated volunteers. The organisation work from three local hospices in the West Midlands, and the care is provided from a home-from-home atmosphere.
Coinadrink pledge to support Acorns through our customer care surveys, where we donate £5 per survey received. In addition to this, we also take part in events that are organised throughout the year in the name of the charity.
Just Small Change highlights the support we offer away from UK shores. Peter and Jane Donaghue started the charity in 2011, and we are honoured to say that we have a very special relationship with the couple.
Just Small Change work in some of the poorest areas of Africa, and issue small scale loans as a hand-up to build a bridge out of poverty. In addition to the support provided, Just Small Change helps to unlock the potential of the communities and provide them with dignity and a purpose in life.
We assist with the efforts of Just Small Change by donating a portion from our bottled water sales, and we are proud that we can help make a difference.
“Firstly, a massive thank you to all at Coinadrink for their continued support for Just Small Change. Also thanks to all who kindly supported the fundraising at Coinadrink’s party celebrations. More families in Kisumu, Kenya will now have the opportunity to break the cycle of poverty through your donations. Asante sana as they say in Swahili.”
