We’re on the countdown to party night. Are you ready?
Get your calendars out, because we’re excited to say that party night is now just 10 days away! New Year has started with a bang, and everyone has been working hard to ensure that the evening in question will be a great night for all. As you’re aware, party night is a celebration of our 55th birthday, and is a sign of our gratitude to our staff, suppliers and customers. Without each and every one, Coinadrink would not have enjoyed such longevity, and certainly wouldn’t have experienced such success.
What will party night include?
Hosted at the National Motorcycle Museum on Saturday 27th January, there’s set to be strong turnout, with over 300 expected to attend. These include past employees as well as present, and all staff are bringing their selected guests to take part in the fun. The night is sure to consist of great food, great fun and great company, and Coinadrink have arranged transport to and from the venue for all staff.
Additionally, the party night will be centralised around two very important charities that have always been very close to our heart. These are Acorns Children’s Hospice and Just Small Change. Charity work is something we as a company have always remained committed to, and we were keen to tie such efforts into our party night.
A party that’s centralised around Acorns.
Acorns Children’s Hospice is a terrific charity that works with life-limited and life-threatened children and their families. Tragically, many of these children are not expected to reach adulthood, and Acorns provide care and support in a relaxing, home-from-home atmosphere 24 hours a day.
We have taken part in many previous events in the name of the charity, more recently the Firewalk last April. Our Sales and Marketing Manager Tom Williams braved the fiery coals to raise £150 for the charity, an excellent achievement! Moreover, in an effort to continually better our customer service, we also pledge to donate £5 for each survey received from our annual customer care surveys that we send to our customers.
A night for Just Small Change.
Just Small Change is a great charity that works in some of the poorest parts of the world. It was set up in 2011 thanks to a very kind, selfless couple. Peter and Jane Donoghue were keen to make a difference to those that need it most, and Just Small Change provides a hand up to help those in poverty. Small scale loans are issued to help people make a success of their own business, and when they feel they can afford to do so, they then pay the loan back. This helps to build a bridge out of poverty.
Those that work for Just Small Change are not particularly well paid, and do it for a good cause. We admire the efforts of the organisation, and we have a very special relationship with everyone connected to it. Just Small Change holds some very successful projects, and we donate to the charity through the sales of the bottled water for our bottled water coolers.
How we intend to raise money on party night.
We are hoping to raise £5500 on the night, which equates to £100 for every year we have been in business. We plan to do this by a dedicated prize draw, where you could win some great prizes. These include an iPad, a £200 shopping voucher, a jewellery set, an Amazon Echo and a Red-Letter Day to name just a few. To add to that, there will also be an auction that you can take part in. A chef’s table at a very fancy restaurant is on offer here, so make sure you get involved for a very good cause!
As we said, party night is just 10 days away. On what’s sure to be a great evening, we’ll definitely keep you updated as to how the event went, so keep checking back with us. In the meantime, why not check out a video of our last party night in 2013?
