How is Julie Jones still finding her sales apprenticeship course?
The last few months have seen stories shared from our new starters here at Coinadrink Limited, the vending machine company. But amongst the introductions we didn’t want to forget about the ongoing apprenticeship stories we last brought to you in 2021.
Continued personal development is very important to us and we’re always keen to invest in the talent and potential of all our staff. Julie Jones is just one of our team members enrolled onto a sales apprenticeship. As the course nears its end, we got Julie’s final thoughts as to how she has found the experience.
Julie enrolled onto the course with two of her colleagues in February 2021. The last near-18 months have been a unique experience for Julie, but one that she is grateful to have had.
1. It has been a while since we last spoke to you about your apprenticeship. Could you tell us how long you have left on the course?
I am currently finalising the post activities for the last module of my course before the EPA.
2. How has your apprenticeship helped boost your knowledge and skills in this field?
The course has most definitely provided me with a better understanding of the sales process, and how crucial other departments within the business are to this.
3. And have you noticed any benefits the course has had on you on a personal level?
I do think the course has boosted my confidence, especially in terms of consulting with prospective customers.
4. What has been your favourite task/module of the apprenticeship?
My favourite task/s have been when I have worked on areas within my modules that have required me to consult with our current customers to provide information and feedback for evidence purposes. I received an overwhelming response from our customers, it makes me proud of the relationships we have built up and how we go the extra mile to help each other.
5. Tell us a bit about how Coinadrink have helped support you throughout the course.
My colleagues have been fantastic. No matter which department I have approached to gain a better understanding of other areas within the business, (as/when needed for a module I have been working on), they have been helpful and happy to take the time to explain and provide feedback. So, thank you to them all, your time and help are much appreciated.
6. Would you recommend an apprenticeship to a friend. If so, why?
Yes, I would recommend an apprenticeship to a friend. It has been a while since I have completed a course and it has given me a boost personally to be learning new things in this way. It is easy to sit in your current role and just keep going through the motions of your day, but I have enjoyed going out into the business to learn more about what we do and how we do it. This is because of the modules I have been working on.

We are very proud of the way Julie has embraced the challenges of this sales apprenticeship course to further her knowledge and understanding. The close relationship between sales and Julie’s own marketing role is crucial as we continue to provide an unrivalled vending machine service to our customers, and Julie has already taken her learning and applied it to the workplace.
Well done, Julie, and good luck with your EPA!
Come back soon as we speak to our management apprentice Simran Salan on how she is finding her learning so far, in what is a very different sector.
