Turns out Coinadrink do know how to throw a party!
After weeks of anticipation, our recent party night was a roaring success. Hosted at the prestigious National Motor Cycle Museum to celebrate the company’s 55th birthday, over 300 people came together for a night of great food, great entertainment and great company. It’s important to remember that party night was intended to raise money for two great organisations, and we’re thrilled that we managed to raise a considerable sum for the pair. Our target of £5500, equating to £100 for every year we have been in business, was met.
A party night with a charitable atmosphere.
As mentioned, the foundations for party night largely consisted of two fantastic charities. Coinadrink have always had charity work engrained into our DNA, and party night saw us raise money for Acorns Children’s Hospice and Just Small Change. We already support the two, both through individual efforts and nationally recognised events.
Our Sales and Marketing Manager Tom Williams completed the daring Firewalk on behalf of Acorns only last April, and we also commit to donating £5 per completed customer care survey that we receive. In regards to Just Small Change, we are honoured to hold a special relationship with a couple who founded the organisation, Peter and Jane Donaghue, and we donate to the charity through the sales of our bottled water.
An exciting prize draw and auction…
How did we raise the funds then? By hosting a prize draw and auction on the evening! For just £10, the prize draw gave you the chance of winning fantastic products that included an iPad, a Red-Letter experience and a £200 high street voucher.
Additionally, the three auctions were for a prestigious champagne afternoon tea for two people at The Ritz Hotel, lunch for 6 people at The Savoy Grill’s Kitchen Table and a bottle of Glenlivet Single Malt Scotch Whiskey. There were some very generous donations, so we thank you all very much! You’re helping two great charities.
A prestigious venue to host party night.
When you’re hosting a party to celebrate such longevity and success, it has to be special. MD Roger Williams and Yvonne Williams delivered in spectacular fashion, and we were privileged to come together at the National Motor Cycle Museum to celebrate. We stepped into a grand entrance. Everyone was in their glad rags enjoying welcome drinks in the foyer, and there was an ambience of prestige as a pair of spirited magicians floated around the tables showcasing their talent. This had the makings of a very special night…
Fine food.
Full credit to the chefs, because they put on a divine four-course spread. Shortly after we sat down in our places, plates of Smoked Salmon & Prawn Timbale were dispensed around the room in a timely manner, which was then followed by Rich Cream of Pumpkin and Apple Soup with Fresh Chopped Herbs. The main course was simply gorgeous: Tornado of Beef with Roquefort Butter and Vegetables. The beef was beautifully soft and it was cooked to absolute perfection. There was a luxurious desert of Oatmeal Crumb Vanilla Ice & Warm Cinnamon Cream before the meal was signed off with coffee and after dinner mints. There were also options for vegetarians and vegans.
Entertainment worthy of party night.
The entertainment was fantastic, and had the guests in full party mood. Roy G Hemmings was the star of the show with his Sounds of Philadelphia and Motown performance, and made the stage his own throughout. There were some popular tracks that were met with fine voice from the guests, and it didn’t take long before the dancefloor filled up! This was after a lively duo from a pair of singing firemen, who cleverly interrupted proceedings to alert us to ‘incorrect fire escape procedures’ within the building. Nobody believed them, of course…
Spirited magicians…
In addition to all the singing and dancing, there were a range of fantastic magicians also in attendance. Chris Peskett and co took everyone by complete amazement with an array of talent, and the same question was on everybody’s lips by the end: “how did you do that??”. There were card tricks and illusions throughout the evening, and they really enhanced the atmosphere. Some curious people thought they had them sussed, but not a chance. Sometimes you just have to take a step back and applaud…
A toastmaster to consolidate a great evening.
In many ways, Colin Bruton consolidated party night with his professional and smooth delivery. He didn’t miss a trick, and you can see why he’s highly regarded around the region. His calm yet assertive manner brought the whole evening together, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend his services to others.
No better way to celebrate 55 years…
As we reflect on the evening, we can’t help but smile. Everybody connected to Coinadrink Limited worked extremely hard to ensure the evening would be a successful one, and we’re pleased their efforts paid off. Party night was a way to show our gratitude to everybody who has helped the company reach the stage we’re at today, and we’re delighted so many people were in attendance.
It really does fill us with pride.
As an add-on, we wanted to say a very big thank you to Jordan Fox, who was the official photographer for the evening. She did a fantastic job and was the ultimate professional.
