Our Chosen Charity for the coming year…

Coinadrink are delighted to be working with Acorns as our chosen charity for 2016-17. This excellent organisation works closely with life limited and life threatened children of all ages, as well as supporting their families, to provide tailored nursing care including short breaks, emergency and end of life care. 
With three hospices situated locally, each and every one is guaranteed to provide a calming, home from home atmosphere where fun and therapeutic activities are always at the top of the agenda. Acorns understands that the children in their care face more stress and worry than someone their age ever should, so they simply wish to give them something to smile about.

Unfortunately, such troubling times are enough to get anyone down from time to time, so Acorns provides an incredible level of support for the families as well as their children whenever they need. They want everyone to feel on top of things, to help them cope as best they can, so dedicated teams offering psychological, emotional and practical support are there for every stage of a child’s life.
In the past year Acorns has cared for over 865 children and more than 1060 families, including those who are bereaved. To provide such a fantastic service, it costs them nearly £10 million a year and they rely on generous funding from the public for the vast majority of this amount.
We at Coinadrink wish to help such a magical foundation in any way we can, and are absolutely honoured to be able to send a cheque on behalf of the company for £736.50. Its our way of giving Acorns a helping hand, to enable them to provide care and support for those who really need it most…
