An update on our Sales Apprentice, Sam Wheeler.

Sam Wheeler, our Telesales and Customer Care team member, is just one of our employees who is currently undertaking a Sales apprenticeship with us. Last time we spoke to her, Sam had just began her apprenticeship course, so we were keen to get an update now she is a few months down the line.

Sam explains what the course has taught her so far, how she has managed to implement the learning into her current role with Coinadrink, and how having colleagues on the same course has helped her.

1. How are you finding your apprenticeship so far?

It was a little daunting at first. As with anything new it’s just trying to get into a routine, especially when I haven’t done anything like this for a very long time. There were a few teething problems at first, but things seem to be settling into place. So hopefully now I can start to enjoy it.

2. What has been the most interesting area you have covered so far?

I found values and vision very interesting. Looking on websites, looking at different organisation’s values and visions, seeing what they offer, what they stand for as a company. It has made me realise the importance of a good website with good clear values and visions.

3. Have you managed to apply any of the learning to your role?

Yes, it has helped me look at our customers’ needs in different ways. I have been able to implement this into my customer care role. Also maintaining accurate customer information on our CRM.

4. Have you continued to receive support and guidance from Coinadrink Limited?

I have all the support and guidance I need. It is also helped by having a couple of colleagues on the same course, we try to have regular catch-up meetings to see how we are all are getting on.

Sam is progressing really well with the course and we’re glad that she was able to take this wonderful opportunity. It is just one of the reasons why Coinadrink holds, and has recently retained, the Investors in People Gold accreditation. This highlights that we regularly go the extra mile for our staff members, often in the case of apprenticeships like this.
