Presenting our charitable nature to Acorns Children’s Hospice.

Charity work is engrained into Coinadrink’s DNA, and we have worked with some excellent organisations throughout our 55 year history. Acorns Children’s Hospice is who we are currently working with, and we have already raised considerable funds over the years. Now, we are delighted to say that we have added a whopping £4000 to our overall figure, thanks to the money we raised from our recent party night in January.

Acorns Children’s Hospice – A background.

It’s an honour to work closely with Acorns Children’s Hospice.

Acorns Children’s Hospice work closely with life limited and life threatened children and their families, within three hospices centralised within the West Midlands. Many of these children are not expected to reach adult life, and Acorns provide palliative care alongside a calming home from home atmosphere. Established in 1988, in the past year Acorns has cared and supported 876 children and 1097 families through both medical professionals and dedicated volunteers, and the work they do is admirable.

How Coinadrink have previously raised money for Acorns.

The Acorns Firewalk – April 2017.

Coinadrink commit to raising money for the charity through our annual customer care surveys. At the end of every year, we pledge to donate £5 per completed survey that we receive, and this is just the start. We also tie our name to regional events, and it was only 12 months ago that our Sales and Marketing Manager Tom Williams undertook the daring Firewalk at the National History Museum, raising over £150 in the process!

It was great to meet Annesa last week, who is the Corporate Partnerships Officer at Acorns, and learn about the latest work that the organisation are doing. We are sure that the £4000 will go a very long way to help continue the level of commitment that the charity are providing, and it was an honour to help raise the funds!
