2nd Annual Bentley Bash in aid of St Giles Hospice and The British Heart Foundation
Following on the success story of last year’s event, our colleague Sarah Bentley and friends recently held their 2nd Annual Bentley Bash, some of our colleagues attended what again proved to be a huge success…please see full details below:
On Saturday June 25th, Chasetown FC, kindly donated the use of their marquee and facilities for the second annual Bentley Bash.
There was a disco, tombola, sweet stall, glitter tattoos, bouncy castle and a fantastic raffle with prizes that had kindly been donated by local businesses.
This year we donated to two charities, St Giles Hospice and The British Heart Foundation.
St Giles was chosen after they helped our daughter who was struggling to come to terms with the diagnosis of my mom with lung cancer last year, they gave her counselling and involved her in the Phoenix side of the Hospice which helps youngsters and their families.
The British Heart Foundation was chosen as we lost my father in law to a heart attack four years ago but in January of this year, we lost a much loved family friend to a heart attack and his daughter, Lisa, has raised over £700 so we decided to help her with a donation of £500.
We raised a fantastic £1,815.00 altogether and also managed to get some people to sign up to the St Giles Lottery.
What a fantastic result for all involved and we would like to applaud Sarah and all her friends in their efforts.
