Employee Appreciation Day was established by a Bob Nelson in 1995. It is a day dedicated to employers showing they appreciate the hard work of their team. Whilst this day was initially an American and Canadian event, Employee Appreciation Day is still acknowledged in other parts of the world.
Here at Coinadrink, the vending machine company, our success has always been built on the commitment and dedication of our staff. And with the last 12 months delivering a stern test for us all, we have never been prouder of everyone that forms “team Coinadrink.
How our employees have helped guide us through the past 12 months.
As we creep towards a post-Covid world, our staff have done a wonderful job of ensuring Coinadrink Limited the vending machine company prepare to leave the last 12 months behind with as much optimism as hope for the future.
We have worked hard to support our customers and help put their minds at rest ready for the “new normal”.
Contactless coffee machines are well positioned to eliminate shared touch points from workplaces despite the fact that traditional vending is already comparatively safer than alternative solutions. And the Micro Market’s 24/7 unmanned availability helps workplaces adapt to more flexible working.
We have worked tirelessly to communicate these benefits and introduce more options to our customers.
Meanwhile, our pledge for fantastic unrivalled customer support has remained unaffected. We have always been on hand to help with whatever is needed and our pro-active customer care department have adapted well to change in working hours from our customers. Our lead times and install dates have always been maintained.
In short, then, Covid hasn’t abandoned our customer service-related promises and it is thanks to our employees that this has been the case.
Personal development on Employee Appreciation Day.
We like to think that the reason why our team work so hard for our customers is because we have developed a family-like culture here that everyone buys into.
One of our values is that our staff will feel happy to work for and represent Coinadrink Limited. We share the same goals which helps maintain and progress our services for the benefit of the customer. And we regularly show our team that we care for their wellbeing and personal development.
That’s why we regularly invest in our staff’s potential. Not only to help them in their current role, but to also progress their own careers. Just a short while ago we shared more about this on National Apprenticeship Week, where five members of our team are currently undergoing apprenticeship courses.
Why not read more about our Business Development Executive Julie Jones as she starts her Sales Apprenticeship and then go from there?
We are only too happy to make these opportunities available to our team. Nobody should ever stop learning and we encourage everyone to speak up if they feel there is anything else we can do to continue aiding their development.
In short, our employees are key to our business culture. It’s just one of the reasons why we have been awarded the Investors in People Gold accreditation.
A culture that promotes wellbeing.
Being a vending machine company, we regularly promote our services as being a simple yet effective tool to improve the wellbeing of the workforce.
We appreciate the effect high quality coffee in particular can have on employees, with a study uncovering that this would be enough to keep up to 81% of people at a company for the foreseeable future.
So, why would we not promote these services to our own team?
Our corporate showroom is as much for our staff as it is visitors, clients and customers. Everyone can make use of the high-quality vending machine equipment we have in there. This includes luxury tabletop coffee machines, floorstanding hot beverage vending machines, snack vending machines, water coolers and our innovative Micro Market solution.
We promote the need for staff to be happy and comfortable in their role. Our own research uncovered that regular break times can actually improve productivity instead of the opposite you would perhaps believe.
Of course, during these unprecedented times, many of our staff are working from home. However, with vending machines proven to be a safe entity for the provision of food and drink at work, our equipment will be prepared to welcome everyone back when the time comes.
And that’s without the host of contactless vending and water services the last 12 months has seen us introduce.
An understanding of personal lives.
Whilst we will spend so much of our time in the workplace, our personal lives are just as crucial, if not more so.
That’s why Coinadrink will always make reasonable allowances for the personal lives of our employees. We understand that emergencies or unavoidable situations happen from time to time and we treat everyone with the trust and respect they deserve.
We are happy to implement flexible working where possible.
Our team know they can approach us with any aspect of their personal lives that may be causing them some concern and we have utilised the services of third-party companies that our team can utilise in confidence whenever they need to.
Outside of work, we regularly host events and parties to celebrate aspects of the company, such as party night for our 55th birthday in 2018. And we always gift everyone a little something at Christmas time, which is always a nice little gesture in our eyes.
Again, this is just another aspect that has helped create the family culture we all enjoy at Coinadrink Limited, the vending machine company.
Considering most of our employees have been with for such a long time now, many over two decades, we think that means are approach is working. What do you think?
